[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]ANALYTICAL. At her very core, Palefrost is a thinker, and can often see much deeper into a problem or situation than others. She enjoys the process of metaphorically reducing an object or issue to its base components in order to see what's working and what needs improvement. If given the opportunity, she works well alone, and is dedicated and intelligent, and is a strong problem solver. She does, however, tend to get caught up in the details and miss the big picture. Her mind is always working, and makes it difficult for her to relax and enjoy casual social situations. Her constant desire to analyze everyone and everything can make others uncomfortable. [break]
ASSERTIVE. She has a strong understanding of what she wants and the effort that needs to be exerted to achieve her goals. And has no fear in setting out for success, doing whatever her life may demand from her. She is able to take the ups with the downs in a forward-moving stride. Others may be drawn to the aura of confidence and willingness to stand up for herself, but above all else, she is fearless. With her, she carries a sense of boldness that can seem overwhelming to those who are shy and insecure. Palefrost doesn't avoid commitment, and in fact, embraces it when necessary. And even in the heat of a sticky situation, will never hesitate in her decision making.[break]
BOLD. She's a go-getter; she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. When it comes to pursuing her goals, she is able to take the ups with the downs and maintain forward momentum. Her confidence and willingness to stand up for what she believes in proves to be a quality that others tend to admire and are drawn to. Palefrost commits quickly, making things difficult for her associates who want to slow down the pace. Because of her convictions, she has a hard time back away from her ideals and can come across as being uncooperative, self-serving, or pushy to others.[break]
EMPATHETIC. Palefrost is a good listener, she genuinely cares and wants the best for others. She tries to foster positivity and enjoys the communal energy of sharing her happy emotions. Her ability to walk in other's shoes allows her to have a deeper understanding of problematic situations and react in a way that will improve the emotional landscape for everyone involved. And while positive emotions can affect her in an uplifting way, negative emotions can be toxic, dragging her into a darker place.[break]
HUMBLE. She often defers to others, allowing them to take the credit. She's happy to be involved in a process that leads to something good and is satisfied to play a part without needing to share in the acclaim. She's an excellent support character, seeing herself as a cog in the machine, and does not seek to elevate herself above others. When addressed directly, she's usually singing praises of those around her as the "real heroes."[break]
IDEALISTIC. Some of her widely known values are her honesty, her ability to listen, and her genuinely caring nature. She is a strong peacemaker and advisor by ignoring the fluff, focusing instead on the heart of the problem and what it will take to make those involved more happier and fulfilled. She is resilient and determined when it comes to her convictions and cannot easily be brought down by disappointment or failure. [break]
INTELLIGENT. Palefrost has a lot of knowledge and can, therefore, offer information when it's needed. She's also a pretty successful problem-solver, which can be helpful in a pinch. She isn't often led astray by slanted or biased viewpoints.[break]
MATURE. She is responsible, trustworthy, thoughtful, and tends to be more consistent than her peers. Often viewed as a deep thinker, she can articulate her thoughts beyond her years or offer wisdom that seems greater than average. She is moralistic and has strong reasoning skills. She understands the cause-effect relationship and bases decisions and actions on her perceptions of right and wrong. Though, this trait leads her to be critical of others, making judgments based on her own development and outlook. She may come off as pushy or too serious, or even lacking a sense of fun and spontaneity. [break]
MERCIFUL. She embodies mercy, and therefore has a level of understanding and compassion that elevates her above most forms of petty jealousy, bitterness, and spite. She feels no need to make an example of others or rejoice in their defeat. Instead, she feels a sense of sadness when things end badly and prefer to embrace the belief that while mistakes happen and poor choices are made, grace and forgiveness are actions that will bring about peace. It sets her apart in the shadows of Saffron woods, where most view her as weak, mistaking her graciousness for reluctance or fear to do what needs to be done. Those who have been wronged may grow angry and resentful when she shows compassion to a wrongdoer. [break]
OBSERVANT. Along with her analytical mindset, she will tend to notice things that others may miss. She is able to accurately assess what she's seeing and can put the pieces together to see what's coming down the road. However, she can sometimes become impatient when others miss what may seem obvious to her. [break]
OBSESSIVE. Palefrost is driven, focused, and can account for some amazing contributions in her time. Advances in her trade, cures for diseases, and discoveries about the past, present, and future. Anything that will result in her passionately following an idea or thought process. She is a prisoner to her own thoughts. Deep fears of failure and inadequacy drive her obsessions and it leads to poor eating and sleeping habits, and unfulfilled goals. [break]
RECKLESS. She is absolutely not afraid to do things that may terrify others. Thinking outside the established norms and coming up with new ideas is kind of her comfort zone. She is determined, decisive, and brave. Although dangerous, when she's in the heat of a situation, it can bring excitement too. Dangerous to herself and others. She can be self-involved. Often know that her behavior is dangerous but being compelled to still pursue whatever it is. [break]
SENSIBLE. Palefrost is an anchor, a life raft. When a situation turns tense or emotional, she has the capacity to be a voice of reason. Providing solid counsel when needed, and making stable decisions when it matters the most. [break]
SIMPLE. What you see is what you get. An open book. She has worthy priorities and a broad-minded perspective. She's adept at balancing her emotions, a good listener, and friend, and is generally content with what she has. She's often happy to stay in the background. If she has something to say, it's usually important.[break]
STUBBORN. Once she picks a course of action, she can be trusted to see it through to the end. When this trait is applied to her relationships, she is fiercely loyal to those who win her affections. With her unparalleled sense of morality, you can count on her to pitch a fight for what she believes in, no matter the obstacles in her path. However, she may not always know when enough is enough, and can push her associates to their breaking points with her inability to meet others halfway. She often struggles with adaptability and may miss larger details because of her one-tracked mind. She may hold a goal even when it is no longer prudent to do so and has a hard time letting others contribute or be in charge. This trait leads her to be a little bossy at times, even when it isn't her place to be so.

[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]      Palekit and her single sister, Cloudkit, were born to a mother -Dawnpoppy- who loved them dearly. As if she were trying to make up to her girls with the affections of two parents coming from a single individual. But it was all that Palekit had ever known anyways. She really hadn't noticed a difference up until she saw the mates of the other queens coming around to visit their shared litters. Their happy families. It wasn't that Palekit's father wasn't around, or knew about his parentage and chose to keep his distance. It was that Dawnpoppy never discussed who sired her first litter. Except for maybe a close friend, whose lips were sealed tighter than her own. Never the less, the new mother and her two daughters were very much happy for a time. Soon enough the girls no longer needed the consistent watchful eye of their mother. And while some Queens were content to stick out their litters full six moon kitten-hood, Dawnpoppy chose to return to her warrior duties relatively soon.[break]
      Of course, she maintained her relationship with her daughters. She even continued sleeping alongside them in the nursery for a time. But idle paws were her worst dream come true. And she would only begin to relax once again when she got to return to supporting the clan in the way they had supported her through her short time as a full-time mother.[break]
      But it was during a routine task did tragedy strike. Dawnpoppy's patrol had just crossed the river into Sunningrocks on that warm Green-leaf day. The sun was at its peak, and the large boulders beneath their paws held a heat that could have thawed glaciers. That perhaps, leaf-bare would never come again. The patrol circled around its perimeter, Dawnpoppy being the senior warrior, lead the group. Tailed by a younger warrior, and his first apprentice. Before she could even react, a venomous adder struck at her from her side. Fangs piercing deep into her flesh just in front of her shoulder near the base of her neck. [break]
      It was quickly dispatched but the damage had been done. The apprentice was sent to fetch the acting Medicine Cat at the time- Sagewhisker. The young warrior did his best, to get her back to camp. He helped her across the river, but soon after Dawnpoppy's body began shutting down. They were so far away from camp, and he could only do so much to get her there. By the time Sagewhisker had met them, she was already too far gone. Dawnpoppy had died.[break]
      Her body was taken back to camp, for the clan to sit her vigil. Palekit and her sister were devastated. The girls, now only four moons old, were hit hard. Not willing to accept the reality even as their poor mother lay before StarClan and everybody. But they weren't the only ones who took it hard. The young warrior's grief was heavy set with guilt. That perhaps if only he had tried harder ... Sagewhisker sat beside her with his own grievances. And unbeknownst to anyone involved, did Palekit's father mourn alongside them that night. Matching green eyes would have been the telltale sign, but nobody was focused on him. A life lived far too fast, it was Dawnpoppy's first night hunting with Starclan. And perhaps it was that night did the stars shine their brightest. [break]
      As sad as an event this was, it was a pivotal moment in Palefrost's life. Everyone had explained that their mother was better off in Starclan's care now. But what did that mean? Wouldn't she have been better off in the nursery with her daughters? To her, it seemed like Starclan had stolen her mother. And she was resentful of them. Her warrior ancestors. It gave her comfort in being able to blame someone. [break]
      She wasn't sure if he had received a dream about her, or a sign. Or maybe even a vision. Or perhaps he was just a concerned clan mate. But one morning, Sagewhisker summoned the irritably bitter kitten to his den. While Palekit had been lost in her own grief, she had not been paying attention to the scandal that had come to light about the Riverclan Medicine Cat fathering a litter of kits. To her, it was just a check in. An assessment of her mental health, if you will. And in that moment, was the first time Palekit truly got to vent her frustrations. Her confusion and her misunderstandings. Sagewhisker listened. He observed. Watched. Nodded along when it was necessary. But he was quiet. Calculating in his own way. [break]
[break]      And it was exactly what she needed. Through the rest of her kitten-hood. She spent most of her time attached to Sagewhisker's hip. Asking an endless amount of questions when she was able. Watching and observing when it was important. Picking up the skills of a Medicine Cat as she went along. When she became six moons old. Sagewhisker informed Rosestar of his choice in replacement, that by the blessing of StarClan, he would be taking Palekit as his apprentice. And when her sister, Cloudkit was given her mentor, she was given her's in the same ceremony. Except, she was sworn to the life of voicing StarClan's word. Sworn to the life of a witness, and into the honorable line of Medicine Cats before her. And there wasn't anything in the world that she had wanted more. Even over the murmuring and tainted whispers of her clanmates- the accusation of how terrible Sagewhisker's judgment had failed them. Palepaw would have none of it.[break]
      Though, after she made her first trip to the moonstone, her life didn't really change. She was diligent in her role. Absorbing her lessons like a sponge. She became fairly competent in her role very quickly. Surpassing her projected improvement with a respectable speed. [break]
      Over the moons, she developed a strong bond with her mentor despite his ill standings with the rest of the clan- namely Rosestar. She inherited some of her defining characteristics from the tom. But still, she held on to that chilly personification she had earned from her mother, and her untimely death- in which she was aptly named Palefrost when it was time she was given her warrior name.
