The warrior yawned as she stretched her golden pelt out long. Sunningrocks was surely the best place in all the land- And since it was the best, it should only belong to the best clan. Riverclan. As the approaching leaf bare scattered the leaves and brought a chill to the air, Sunningrocks provided the last spot for a cat to soak up the sun. Thistletail intended to steal her share of sunlight.
"Mmmm," she purred, and rolled to expose the soft tufts of her belly to the sun. Scratching her back on the warm rocks, the cat rolled and scritched and wiggled her shoulders against the stone. Finally, she flopped out on her side, green eyes blinking lazily towards the Thunderclan trees beyond. If ever the borders needed watching- This was the way to do it.
While Thistletail might lack her sister's ambitions, the warrior surely knew how to relax- Which was more than Rosestar could say, she thought. Where her sister might be cold and rigid, Thistletail tended to curl soft and luke-warm. Maybe one of these days she ought to nag the fluffy leader into joining her way out here- See if she could snatch some catnip from Palefrost... Didn't everyone need a chance to catch up and watch the clouds drift? With a soft grin, the she-cat reminisced over the days when youth had allowed her siblings more free time together. Rosestar might chide her for her idle paws, but Thistletail truly believed a cat functioned best when they took care of themselves too- Not just everyone else. Sometimes, she had a nagging suspicion that Rosie tended to neglect her own needs for fear of missing someone else's.
Simply content to bask in the rays of her little patch of sunlight, Thistletail nearly missed the quiet footfalls of nearing paw steps. How amusing. Was someone trying to sneak up on her? How silly! Thistletail held the high ground while perched atop one of the boulders. Large tail flicking across the face of the rocks, the warrior chuckled and sing-songed to no direction in particular, "I heeaaar you~" and purred a chuckle, "Hmm hmm~"
