[attr="class","arrgenMAINTEXT"]AS YOUR LEADER; Ramstar has well-earned his title. This is a cat that is brave in battle. He won't leave a warrior behind and genuinely cares deeply for the well-being of his clan. He takes no dirt from any other clan leader and is quick to rebuttal if he, or a clanmate, is disrespected by an outsider. He is strict about keeping patrols going, ensuring there's enough food, and will make tough choices fast. If the clan were to need a night watch, Ramstar would not hesitate to do so for the sake of the rest of his clan getting a good night's rest. 

He is proud and not the cleverest of leaders. He can be reluctant to rely on others and to delegate. Sometimes his enthusiasm for the good of the clan can go way, WAY too far, including but not limited to sticking his nose into medicine cat business or bossing around capable warriors. Mentors, expect this leader to be breathing down your neck about the quality of your apprenticing--especially the she-cats.

This is an aspect of Ramstar that bleeds through every aspect of his being; he's sexist. Often viewing she-cats as inherently clever and keen-sensed but feeble and cowardly. He often sees capable she-cats as playing some sort of trick, and will keep a careful eye on such warriors. He feels the best place for she-cats is as queens. A she-cat that makes a poor queen is a detriment to the clan, and that is something Ramstar is not afraid to voice, or take action on. He can be nosy. 

While Ramstar is very "everyone pull their weight" and "get rid of the excess fat", he doesn't necessarily extend this towards elders or disabled cats. Elders, Ramstar views as tradition, history, and teachers; they are to be respected by everyone. He considers a clan weak if they cannot take care of a disabled cat and that taking care of your sick, injured, etc as a point of pride.

AS AN INDIVIDUAL; So, Ramstar is most certainly a sexist kitty, but he also isn't a constant source of aggression and maliciousness towards she-cats. He will often roll his eyes at them, talk down to them, etc, but Ramstar is also a romantic. He is careful, honest, and devoted when courting a cat. It's easy from the outside to wonder what a cat might see in him, but find yourself swooned by gifts of flowers and kind words. Note; Ramstar is bisexual but often views romance and mateship as utilitarian and thus primarily seeks out those who can rear kits. He generally doesn't act on his attraction to toms, including trans toms, simply because he views it as time wasted and that toms have better things to do. But as much as he hates it, he isn't immune to soft spots for some toms.

Ramstar as a few friends and can actually be great fun during down time. He likes to listen to stories and roughhouse. He has a hearty laugh. Yet he's also the first cat to insist on not lazing about, to waking up early, or to forget friends in other clans when charging into battle.

Whatever potential light-heartedness he portrays, he still has a gruff tone about it anyways. He can be intimidating. He can be controlling and overly persistent with cats. He can be a scary cat to hang out with at times. He can be ruthless and loud. He will get into your face when angry or stubborn. He's a strange mix of sentimental and dispassionate at times; protective and romantic, but when he decides to cut you out of his life he's positively merciless. 

AS A FATHER; Insistent, controlling, nosy, overprotective, but very present in his kits life. He can be rather opinionated and frank. He often means to be encouraging but can be quite harsh. He's the sort of dad that will say "I'm doing this for your own good!" 

FOR STARCLAN; He's pretty faithful to starclan and the warrior code but will pick the wellbeing of his clan over both if given such a clear dilemma. He will gather and silence his whole clan to hear out dreams of any cat in the clan, viewing them all as potentially valuable.

[KITHOOD - APPRENTICEHOOD]
65 MOONS AGO: Ramkit was born to queen Finchcatch and tom Mapleheart. He had a few littermates but the biggest impression in his life were his frequently visiting and cheeky older sisters Whitepaw and Robinpaw. This was especially so after losing a littermate to an illness, and as the only healthy kit throughout, he often had to turn to his older siblings for fun. He was able to sneak off with them easily while his mother fretted over his weaker siblings. 

Ramkit viewed his mother, Finchcatch, as wise but gentle. A respectable cat. Ramkit did not get to know Mapleheart well as a kit, often only able to watch him from a distance, but viewing him as strong. He had an idealized vision of his father.

59 MOONS AGO: Rampaw is apprenticed to an older tom, Ravenwhisker, but when Ravenwhisker breaks his leg during a patrol, Rampaw's mentor is quickly changed to his older sister, now Whitethorn (Robinpaw becoming Robinheart, named after their father). Rampaw was excited to be apprenticed by his energetic older sister, but unbeknownst to him, this was actually a means by the then-leader to attempt putting Whitethorn in line; she lacked a good sense of responsibility. This did not pay off as swiftly as the leader hoped, as Whitethorn and Rampaw often goofed off or shifted intended duties to do something they preferred (sparring usually). 

58 MOONS AGO: Robinheart perishes in a border skirmish that Mapleheart was present at. When questioned by his children, Mapleheart becomes defensive, insulted. He lashes out at Rampaw and Whitethorn, and insists that Robinheart had only herself to blame. Mapleheart strikes Whitethorn during an argument. 

57 MOONS AGO: Ravenwhisker has recovered, but Whitethorn and Rampaw are so close now that it is decided that they are better off together. Whitethorn has gotten better at actual mentoring. After her fight with Mapleheart, she's become more reclusive and serious. Rampaw feels betrayed by their father, and others in the clan are generally understanding now when the two choose to avoid duties when it means being near him. 

56 MOONS AGO: Another border skirmish, but this time Whitethorn and Rampaw join in the fray. During the battle, Rampaw ends up surrounded by their opposition. He stubbornly puts up a fight, but calls out to his sister for help. Whitethorn does not come to his aid, and instead, according to others, fled the battle. Rampaw is knocked unconscious and badly injured. He is required to spend an extended period of time recovering and his learning put on hold.
Betrayed by his sister, Rampaw pleads for a change of mentor. Ravenwhisker is made his apprentice again. Viewing his sister as the real Bad One in the family, Rampaw is delightfully surprised when he learns Ravenwhisker is a kithood friend of his father.

51 MOONS AGO: At 14 moons old, Ramfur becomes a warrior somewhat late, but is celebrated all the same. He's viewed as a hardworker, brave, and sincere. 

[LIFE AS A WARRIOR]

Not putting this all in exact order because I'll die:
*Ramstar has been leader of Shadowclan for likely 35 - 40 moons now (~3 years)

Ramfur proves himself to be a strong and brave warrior. Into his adulthood, he and a couple other cats out hunting are surprised by a large dog. The three cats acted as a coordinated team to steer the dog towards the thunderpath where they were able to lure it to its demise. All three cats were praised as insurmountably brave and valued by the clan after that point. Ramfur adored the praise.

At 18 Moons old, Ramfur courted and took his first mate. They remained together for some time and she bore his kits; all but one were stillborn. Ramfur was heartbroken by this but lashed out at his mate. Due to some of the markings, Ramfur believed that she had actually cheated on him and that Starclan had punished her. An already miserable, heartbroken she-cat at the loss of her kits was driven over the edge. She ran from the clan and was labelled (by Ramfur, and possibly others) as guilty of his accusations by this. 

Since then, Ramfur has regularly taken on mate after mate. When things go wrong, typically with kits or how she's acting, she is dropped from his life. A few of them have died under mysterious circumstances and there's a rumor that floats around that Ramstar killed them. 

This became a very popular rumor after Ramstar outright killed one of his more recent mates, a she-cat named Leafjaw. She was an outspoken cat and while Ramstar was charmed by that originally, she started to push that too far. When Shadowclan was accused of underhandedness by the other clans, Leafjaw spoke out; "Any Shadowclan cat that earned us this dishonor will find their spirit in the Dark Forest one day soon!" Ramstar called her blasphemous for saying such things of Shadowclan warriors. He lunged at her without hesitation and tore her throat out in front of the clan. 

"IS THERE ANYONE ELSE WHO DOUBTS SHADOWCLAN'S HONOR!?"
