Whiteout can easily be described as a wallflower in social settings. He is reserved, quiet, and maybe even shy (not that he would like to admit it). He can be socially awkward at times, likely due to a miserable, hard-working kithood; he was doing a lot of work rather than getting playtime in, even as a kit. He can be soft and sweet but kind of emotionally constipated. He's often daydreaming.
He works hard and can be counted on to follow commands without rebellion or even too many questions--within reason. He believes fairly strongly in the warrior code and respects Starclan highly. Still, his standards are low for exceptions to following orders. He is careful, quiet, and brave. He's a dependable warrior cat. He's been so dependable there have been times where he has stepped out at night to continue to patrol borders and hunt.
While he's a dependable and dutiful warrior, his streak of independence often does more harm than good. He doesn't usually discuss plans with others, will go out on his own, and act on his own if not given direct orders.
Whiteout can be somewhat of a miserable cat. He can be pessimistic. This often makes him extra cautious and thoughtful in his actions, but he probably isn't the best cat to turn to when you really need to be cheered up. Although he will try.
He doesn't know what to do with kits honestly. He gets especially awkward around kits and apprentices.

[MOTHER + KITHOOD]
A she-cat named Slatehowl was always known to be one of the toughest warriors of Riverclan. She was hardened, strong, and, honestly, a workaholic if there ever was one. Slatehowl didn't slow down just because she was heavily pregnant, but she sure took those rogue cats by surprise when it turned out she wasn't bluffing! A few scuffles into her pregnancy, Slatehowl had gotten a wound that got infected. She was heavily pregnant and gravely ill.
But Slatehowl is and always was a tough cat. She pulled through, sick but able to give birth to a litter of four healthy kits. When everything turned out okay, there was a relieved laugh that ran through Riverclan. "That's Slatehowl for you!"
While two of her kits had their full color, the other two had strange pelt colors. Slatehowl named them appropriately; and so there was Whitekit. Born with a fevercoat that dusted his whole coat snowy white short of his face. It was initially mistaken as just part of his pied markings visible on his face, but Whitekit's condition was not so normal. Whitekit was a weak kit. He was feeble compared to the two full-color siblings and it didn't take long for Slatehowl to notice this.
Whitekit had a lot of catching up to do. To this day, he does not look back on his kithood as a good time in his life.
[APPRENTICESHIP]
Just as Whitekit became Whitepaw, his fur started to brown a little bit more and more. He was delighted, and as was the rest of the clan because has the fur grew brown, Whitepaw grew stronger as well. A healthy young cat, and it always seemed to coincide with his training. Whitepaw was given plenty of extra praise for his huge turn around since his kithood.
Whitepaw would often look sleepy in the morning but would quickly revive as the day went on. He was a good, respectable apprentice, albeit a little quiet. His mentor would report nothing unusual.
Before he became a warrior, his full, permanent brown coat was fully in. A thick-furred and muscular tabby tom. He was given the name Whiteout in honor of his recovery and growth.
